This weekend, I'm away from Guelph once more. This time, I'm hanging out with my brother Neil and his girlfriend Terry who have been living in Korea for the better part of three years.

I seem to remember watching old tapes of Wayne Gretzky's press conference where he announced his trade to the Los Angeles Kings. I remember him crying; I never questioned it really. It was natural, and completely reasonable for me even as a young boy, that somebody such as Gretzky could be moved to tears after being traded from the team and city he loves. Trades were less often then, and certainly I've noticed how transcient players' presence are on hockey teams.
