This was something I saw put up a few days ago. Jack I think was quite well composed and thoughtful. I know for a fact that the desire for a more efficient society is something that appeals to the right as much as it does the left. We tend to differ on what exactly the government should do-- right-wingers would often expect the private sector to work towards that ideal on independant, voluntary terms. However I have found that many right-wingers are often interested to hear of ways in which the government can do things. I think we may well overestimate how much of that "small government" stagnation is believed by the people who vote Conservative.
